(Auditory Perception)
In our day and age people are visually more stimulated and the result is that children do not develop their auditive part as much as they need to.
This programme was written to develop the auditory and listening skills of a child. It can be used by any teacher or parent, even if the teacher/parent do not have any music background, a piano or guitar is not necessary.
This document consists of practical guidelines and ten two weekly lessons, the lessons can be repeated or fluctuated to create new lessons. The lessons are fun and involves the most important components of music and also includes a lot of rhythm and motion activities. Also part of this programme is various flash cards that can be used to describe the auditory activity in a visual way.
Basic instruments can be used, like a drum (Tin with plastic lid and a dowel stick) or a tambourine (Paper plate with bells) to show rhythm and changes in rhythm.
